Hi and welcome again! Today I will share two cards which were quick and easy to make and a lot of fun! The dies are from pretty pink posh and I will take you through both processes. I thought I had a card for my granddad, but actually he is getting one of these and I think he will love it even more! Also is this card very nice to make just for spring or even Easter.
The first card is the silver one. I die cut the cardstock two time from my regular cardstock and glued one layer on transotype paper, because I wanted to colour with my copics. This was pretty smart, because the transotype makes colouring with copics so easy for me and it looks effortless. Both cards were done within an hour or something more but, it didn't take me much time. Although I could clear my head, since my dog was ill it was time to relax a bit but also being busy but not too busy.
Okay long story short, it was like therapy and it made me happy again!
The way I use my copics are just in a easy way, I am not an expert and I have watched videos from experts and I use them it works best for me. I started with the tulips and always start with the lightest colour, which was for the first tulip Y11, than I added the shading with the darkest colour Y17 and blended in the middle colour Y08. After the first blend I repeated the darkest shade again, the lightest also to get a nice blend but also that you can see some flicking movements from shading. The next one is made with R000, R20 and R46, but going with the R20 over the R46 it gets lighter and it blended more. In real life the colours are nicer, it was difficult to take good photos. The next yellow one is Y08, YR04 and YR18. The darker pink one is made with RV23, RV13 and RV14 and the last orange one is made with Y17, YR04 and YR18. I tried to made them look like realistic tulips.
The vase is a teal colour and I used BG49, BG13 and BG23, we have a vase in a teal colour so that was my inspiration. I actually made this card with my mom in my mind, because her birthday is coming soon, but made her another nice card I will show in a couple of weeks. The open areas looked nice in white, but I thought light blue would also look nice and I blended B000, BG01 and B12. In the photo the blend looks horrible, that is my photomaking skills and playing with the settings. Took those photos with my iPhone and not my Canon camera and added it with snapseed (a wonderful free app) but it is nothing like Photoshop or Lightroom which I am used too, from when I did animal photography. Taking photos of cards is a whole other story!
After blending everything I stacked on another layer of white cardstock and decided to add some shimmer and I went outside and sprayed the whole background with my pearl spray. I love the look of the glitter, but it is not overwhelming. And in the end I added a silver cardstock on top, this cardstock is some cheap cardstock and it wasn't easy to cut, but I managed it somehow. The paper is covered with a plastic layer on both sides so that was the difficulty. A quick card! So quick I made another one!
With this card I thought I want a rainbow of tulips! So the colours I used for the yellow one are Y11 and Y08 and I added Y08 a few times to intensify and darken the colour. The orange one is made with Y17, YR04 and YR18 and the flicking of the brush point you can see clearly here. The red one is made with R46 and R59. The pink one is made with RV13, RV23, RV14 and the purple one is made with V01, V12, V04 and V15. Those combinations I mostly found on Pinterest or I just looked what would look good like the vase for example. I wanted to finish the rainbow so blue and green were missing and I used B29, B05, BG49 and G29. I blend the colours a bit and it worked very well, love this combination of blue, bluegreen and green.
Also on this card I used the pearl spray, only I had still the pieces to fit in the white spaces so only the coloured parts have a pearl shine.
Before spraying I glued on an extra layer of white cardstock and after spraying I glued on the gold cardstock. And also this card is finished, I had the same struggle with this cardstock, since it is the same only a different colour.
To finish them into cards I glued them both on a topfolded cardbase.
